#TenderTunesTuesday started as a joke between friends and moved on to Twitter.
They noticed I posted tender songs on Twitter a lot and especially one random Tuesday. The hashtag #TenderTunesTuesday(s) was born and became a regular Tuesday activity. Now that we’re on year 11 since it’s conception, I decided to do something special to celebrate.
The tunes selected every Tuesday are soundtracks for so many of us on our journeys through tender territory:
New paths:
Sweaty palms, nervousness, shyness, butterflies, smiling to yourself just thinking of them
The climb:
Picnics in the park, laughing for no reason together, walks while holding hands, the occasional eye gaze, dinner dates, phone conversations that last for hours
The peak:
Thoughtfulness in even the small gestures. Surprise visits that are welcome. Just because gifts.
The decline:
Miscommunication, fall-outs, arguments about nothing, playing the blame game.
The inevitable:
Deciding to part ways. Reminiscing about the climb. Wondering what went wrong. Starting the healing process
#TenderTunesTuesday is music for the heart that needs mending…
